Deck the Halls

The ladies of our weekly Craft sessions have had a treat over the last fortnight. First we had a demonstration of garland making then this week a workshop, all under the expert eye of Carolyn Lindsey.

Boxes upon boxes of the most gorgeous decorations.

Carolyn giving advice and a helping hand.

Ribbons, ivy, lights and golden baubles are being used to make this stunning garland.

Brilliant Denise, I wish that I could have stayed to see the finished work.

My attempt. If you are in Daglan over the festive season take a look, it will be hanging on the door of our home.

Big thanks to Carolyn who will be out and about selling her decorations at various Christmas markets over the next few weeks.

  1. Well this is wonderful! Great work and I’m thrilled there is a ladies craft group. As a crafter myself, it has been on my list of ‘things to do so I don’t feel lonely’ to scope out interest in a group like this if I were to start one once we are moved and settled, and you’ve given me the answer! I make journals, needle felting and card making and many years ago I used to teach scrapbooking too. (If you want a wee look I have a You Tube channel called Attic Lane and there’s a link here https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCNGrm-t-P1JoPxCserBKAYA ) I loved your embroideries in the previous blog post – you must be delighted to be getting commissions 🙂 We should (finally!) sign our compromis next week, so our house in Carsac is getting closer and feeling more exciting!
