Lounging languorously over a fence or pergola the flowing vine has a wonderful perfume that draws you in.
Before we write about the second artisan of Daglan, I just had to post a few pictures of the gorgeous wisteria of Daglan and Sarlat which flowers in the springtime and is just coming into full bloom. The flowers of which can be purple, violet, pink or white.
Wisteria originates from the legume family, Fabaceae (Leguminae) that includes ten species of woody climbing vines which are native to China, Korea and Japan.
I believe the pictures speak for themselves.
This pictures was taken in Sarlat Medieval Quarter, truly magnificent.
An amazing display of colour, showcasing the entrance to Daglan village.
Arching over one of the gates to a property (that is for sale) in Daglan.
Pretty in pink. The wisteria is ideal for climbing over a pergola and hanging down over a seated area so that you can smell the wonderful perfume.
Next blog will be – The Artisan hat maker of Daglan
The sun is shining, birds are singing, flowers are blooming and the artisans are opening their doors once more. What better time is there than to focus on the various artisans of Daglan.

The advertisement for the caravan could go something like this:- set on a privileged site adjacent to the main road. It has exceptional fresh air ventilation, panoramic windows and an easy access door, brilliant for indoor sunbathing and boasts an indoor pool when it rains.
The picture was taken opposite the veterinary practice near Gourdon. We were there a few days ago, we visit once a month to collect Angels diet food and each time we notice that the caravan is loosing more and of its body parts.
What will be next I wonder?
Le Paradis Camping is nothing like the above, if you are planning a holiday in a wonderful area of France take a look at the official site and see for yourself.
After the long Winter we are beginning to see the gorgeous colours of Spring. It seemed like an endless wait for Spring this year with the cold, snow, frost and rain but here it is at last. Not all of the Spring flowers are out yet but here is just a taster of the gorgeous colours that we have in Daglan at the moment.
A magnificent variety and display of tulips in a friends garden.
Do not know the correct name of the flowers but they are gorgeous.
Our own display, these only flower in the Spring Time. We have moved them from the front of our home to the courtyard at the rear were they get more light and they love it. So many flowers this year.
Paul sitting in our garden, I wish! This particular day it was 23C, the temperature has now reduced to about 14C with a lot of rain forecast for the next few weeks.
Canoe Slalom on the River Céou is all ready for people to enjoy.
Paul and I walked along the lane by the side of the River Céou in order to see the horses at the stables.
Gorgeous blossom in the lane by the side of the Château.
