More on restoration

I think that I can safely say that we have now painted all of the lounge and kitchen area. It has taken a long time to eliminate all of the “orange” paint but we are there. On our last visit Adam painted the front door in all of its sections. It is an original door from the 1840’s with the gorgeous inlayed panels, which all needed to be covered before the painting could begin.

Our front door-half way through the restoration.

The windows are finished, great.

Paul cut and varnished a window seat for the cats to sit on. In this picture you can just see the old well that we hope one day to restore.

We also tiled more of the kitchen. There is still more tiling to do which we hope to complete on our next visit in a few weeks time.
